Beat Ratio is a London based solo artist producing focused electro-pop tunes with an old school approach. The idea that “having too many options is like having none at all” is at the base of Beat Ratio’s decision to bring back music-making from the virtual to the physical. Working exclusively on cassette, from the initial ideas to the final masters, he uses the limitations imposed by tape as an incentive for creativity. His first two songs “Monkey Girl” and “Island in the City” are a mixture of funky beats, synth pop and traditional songwriting all processed through a DIY blender for a delicious music drink to be enjoyed irresponsibly. More songs are currently in the works and you’ll probably be able to catch him gigging around London before the end of the year!”
